Verizon Saying Nothing About iPhone 4 – Still Hope For iPhone 5

It’s been a while since I’ve written a post for the Verizon iPhone, so I guess this one is long overdue to add to theVerizon iPhone rumors that seem to circulate the web at least twice a month.
Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg is playing it cool and isn’t saying a single thing about the iPhone 4 on Verizon. We all know that rumors have been hotting up recently with proof of a CDMA iPhone in tests and lots of factors pointing towards a January release date.
At a recent press conference with Investors he said nothing about the iPhone 4, but he said he hoped Apple would bring a device to the market which would take advantage of Verizons new 4G network.
Speaking to an investor conference Thursday, Seidenberg said nothing about an iPhone for the company’s current network, but said he hopes Apple Inc. will come around and allow Verizon to sell the phone for a new network it’s building. The “4G” network hasn’t yet opened for service and won’t be complete next year.
So it seems that Verizon are certainly hoping to get the iPhone on their new advanced 4G network, something which they are way ahead of AT&T on getting up and running.
But still no official word on the Verizon iPhone 4, we will more than likely only hear it from Steve Jobs and the Verizon CEO together. That could possible happen at next January’s CES 2011 Conference where Verizon’s CEO is scheduled to be a keynote speaker.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, and play around with any other rumors that crop up between now and then.
